The 5 :2 Shake Diet Diary week 1
So if you have read my previous blog post you will know im trying to get fit and healthy mainly for myself. So that i feel better and more confident within my own body but not only that for my health many of you may not know but i am diabetic only on tablet form at the moment but before it get worse and im on injections every day i want to stop it before it gets worse so its time to kick some butt.
Therefore im trying this diet but its not really a diet as such for me its a lifestyle change. If you know me i hate anything green andhealthy really so its going to be a struggle. So when i see the 5:2 shake diet i thought this could work for me as it means eating healthy for 5days of the week instead of the 7 and the other 2 days you have these shakes. lets just give it ago can't hurt by trying.
So todays is day 1 of the shakes, they dont seem to bad taste kinda nice which i never thought they would. I did think these could taste rank and i could end up giving up right now but so far so good. Strangly they saste like the flavours they say they would. so this moring i had strawberry and this asfernoon ive had bannana they kinda remind me of milkshakes just without the ice cream as they are thick.
Day 2 Ive started eating a lot more healthier ive had fruit for breakfast which was nice made a change from toaste. lunch ive just eaten a nice salmon salad and actually really enjoyed it which is strange as i dont really like fish that much or the leaves that are normally in salads i end up picking them out well not this ive eaten the whole lot and loved it. For dinner we are having Broccoli, mushroom and butterbut squash stir fry now normally i dont like stir fry because the vegtables are to hard so we will see what thats like.
Day 3 God this is the second day of shakes and im struggling big time all i want is food just to chew on something would be good. Ive got such a head ache its ridiculous, its a good job i dont have a job yet i cant seem to focus at all today. All im drinking is water and shakes i want a tea but thats not allowed with the shakes.
Day 4 Well im feeling a lot better than i did yesterday ive had fruit for breakfast and ive managed to do a short home workout,which is a big improvement has before the only excerise i got walking the dog round the block. Im looking forward to lunch a nice tuna salad, then a nice homemade curry for dinner (not to healthy but nice just what i need).
Day 5,6 & 7 Todays not been to bad i am finding i feel hungry a lot more but i think thats because ive cut down on the portion sizes ive been having. The cravings are bad today i just want some chocolate but im not going to. its good to try and get in the mind set its hard to stop thinking about the crap food i could be eating instead of the healthy stuff but i need to stay focused. Ive had the same breakfast fruit which im still loving, lunch is a salad again and dinner is more stir fry as these were nice. omg sunday roast time i love my roasts but this sunday roast is a little different iv got more vegtables than ever and sweet potatoes instead of normal roast and a little bit of meal still cutting the portion size down but i did enjoy it.
so that was my first week on this diet so far its been a bit of a struggle but with a new mind set im going to carry on, and hopefully next week wont be as hard.
