8 Fresh start Ideas for a happier New Year
Hello 2016 goodbye 2015! So it’s the New Year and this means
it’s time for a new fresh start with a happier year to come, so let’s get rid
of the old and in with the new. So the main plan for this year is to basically
be and make myself and the atmosphere around me positive and happy by pushing
all the negatives out and all the positives in to create the best 2016 I
possibly can. And how am I going to do this can I hear you say?
Well here are 8 fresh start ideas I'm going to attempt:
1. It's time to get rid of those unwanted clothes you don't wear
Now we all do this and if you know me well
enough I’m the worst at it, we all buy hundreds of new clothes every year for
all the different seasons with that intention of wearing them one day and then
by the end of the year they are still sitting in the closet with the price tag
still attached.
But
not no more it’s time to clean the closet of all those items that you just
don’t wear whether it’s because they don’t fit you, suit you or you just don’t
like the look of them anymore, give them to charity or even pass them on to
someone you know will like then and get some wear out them. The feeling you
will get once it’s all cleared and sorted is amazing, you’ll be able to see
what you can wear each day and wear it with a smile.
2. Organization of emails/photos/online profiles:
Let’s start with cleaning and
organising your emails now if you are like me you will have signed up to all
these fashion / shopping website and get hundreds of emails daily with offers
of what’s new and what’s in the sale. So
why not either delete them or create a folder just for the site that’s you want
to keep because you have seen something of interest on the email. Why not create folders for all of your emails
so then when you go into your emails it’s not a shock when there 350 in there
it will be looking all neat and tidy which should leave you feeling cleansed.
How about spending a little bit
of time on your online profiles delete the ones you don’t use anymore or even
go on, look through your Facebook and see if you have any friends you don’t
really know or talk to anymore maybe adjust your Instagram settings.
Clean up your phone photos save
all the photos you want to keep in a folder on your laptop/pc and free up some
space on your phone, maybe print out the photos you want from Instagram.
3.
Take control of all your relationships:
Let’s start
with friends it’s time to have a close look at what your friendships are really
like ask yourself these few questions . Do the friends you associate with support
you and inspire you to better yourself? Are they fun to be around? Do you look
up to them and respect them? If the answer to those three questions is no then
maybe it’s time to let those friendship’s go and start fresh. As we all have those friends have to have a
downer on life and suck the energy out of everything which will bring yourself down as well, I
mean I’m not saying have a massive fall out and never speak to them again but
maybe just limit yourself to how much you hang out with them.
What about
those people you have met a couple of time and would love to be better friend
with? Well what’s stopping you go make it happen! Pick up the phone give them a text meet up
for a massive catch up and go from there or even find them on Facebook message
them and meet up what’s the worst that can happen they ignore you but what will be will be , there’s no harm in
trying if you don’t try you don’t know.
4. Changing your
fitness routine:
So the plan is to
do a 30min jog in the morning before work okay some days may be pushing it a
bit for time but as long as a jog in the morning is performed it’s all good.
I’ve chosen to jog in the morning before work for many reason one being that it
will sure wake me up as I’m defiantly not a morning person secondly it will help on my weight loss that
I’m hoping I will achieve this year. And
finally it will help on the mind set by jogging in the morning its starting the
day fresh chucking any negative behind you.
5. Relax more:
Have a bit more
you time, do more of what makes you happy whether this is reading or simply
having a day in front of the TV watching films all day just do it have a you
day once every month and you will feel amazing for it.
6. Collect your
thoughts and memories as the year goes on:
Grab a pen and
paper write down any thoughts or memories whether they are good or bad just
write them day pop them into a jar and keep them going right the way till 2017
and then look back on what you have achieved throughout the year this will
leave you with a smile on your face.
7. Decide on what
matters when:
Forget about your
goals for all of this year. Instead, decide: what do you want to do today?
For instance
you’re having a bad day your clothes you wanted to wear are a bit tight do you
lash out and be in a bad mood all day not doing anything? No you put on
something that’s not as tight and go out and have fun with your friends/
partner who ever just doing don’t sit around dwelling on the fact that your
clothes don’t fit have a good day and this problem can soon be sorted out with a little bit of a health kick.
8. Clear away any
distractions and focus:
It’s time to focus
you have this goal of losing weight and having a clear mind set well close
Facebook or whatever social media site you are on and focus sitting around on
Facebook all day isn’t going to make you look like Miranda Kerr, it’s you that
has to do the job it’s you that has to focus and with good supportive friends
and family around this job will be made easier.
