What I eat within a day!



So if you've read my new year’s blog 8 fresh start ideas for a happier new year you will know that I am trying to be more positive this year and focus on myself a little more. So in order to help me feel a bit better on the inside as well as the out I've decided it’s time to start eating clean and healthier. So in today’s smoothie is strawberry, blueberry, banana, mango, Greek yoghurt and some strawberry crunch on top.

Therefore I thought it would be a good idea to show you wonderful lot what I actually eat and drink though out a day some days may be a little different as I may be a lot busier in work and actually don’t get time to eat properly, however over the last couple of weeks I've realised that preparation is the key to clean eating. As I have found that if I don’t prepare the meals the night before I end up eating a load of fatty food then I feel like rubbish.

Breakfast:
For breakfast I have a smoothie or some kind at the moment I'm loving buying the packs of fruit already chopped and ready to eat as I have found buying all the different fruit individually you don’t use them up and they end up going off, add them to a blender with tea spoon of low fat Greek yoghurt blitz and off I go. Now I often switch up the fruit so I'm not having the same every day as they will bore me and I will end up not wanting to do it. Recently I've been adding a bit of crunch on top of the smoothie which I have found is filling me up more which helps me to not snack as much.



Lunch:
For lunch I tend to now go for a salad or some sort mainly the meat changes to give it some flavour, today's salad is a ham salad so this contains. Tomatoes, cucumber, beetroot, ham, spring onion, feta cheese, lettuce and little drizzle of light mayo yummy!!


Dinner:
For dinner I tend to have a different type of salad to what I had for lunch for example I do like to have a mixed bean salad for dinner id maybe add a slice of cooked chicken to mix with the bean salad so that I have a little bit of protein within the meal. However when it’s a bit cold out like it is at the moment you don’t want to eat salad all day long so on times like these id have a stew either chicken or beef with loads of vegetables which is perfect for cold weather and on days you feel a bit down and want something warm inside you.


Snacks:
Its snack time so for snack I like to have more fruit different to what I’ve already had in my smoothie so today I've got a pot of grapes or if I don’t really fancy fruit I tend to have walkers pops or quavers as these have little fat and sugar in them.

Drinks:
So you may be wondering what I drink all day well the answer to this is pretty simple Tea. I literally drink tea all day, I normally have at least 7 cups a day I am trying to cut down on the amount of tea I drink by having some water instead but it’s not the same as a nice cuppa.
