Strawberry Cookie Crumble
So as you guys may know I love a bit of baking however as I'm diabetic I know I cant have a lot of sugar therefore I thought id try and start baking with canderel to try and make it a little bit better for myself and my family. So I thought id show you my recipe for my strawberry crumble I made from a shortbread recipe I have laying around.
So you will need:
1 Box of strawberries
1 tbl of vanilla extract
125g of butter
180g plain flour
5g canderel
Method:
Step 1- Set oven to gas mark 5
Step 2 -Mix together the butter and canderel until smooth
Step 3- Add the flour and stir in to get a smooth paste
Step 4- Chop the strawberries in to small chunks
Step 5+ 6- Add the chopped strawberries and vanilla extract and stir well
Step 7- Greasy a baking tray or use grease proof paper
Step 8 - pour mixture into baking tray and spear out so you have an even layer of mixture
Step 9- Bake in over for 20-25 minutes
Step 10- leave to cool and then cut into segments and eat away
