It's Brush Cleaning Time

So its got to that time again where all my brushes are just a tad dirty and as iv recently just bought a new Foundation to try I thought id finally get round to cleaning my make up brushes. Now I know a lot of bloggers and People have stated that they use proper Make up brush cleaner to deep clean their brushes. However I have never bought brush cleaner as I have never needed it before this mainly due to the fact that I have never really used brushes to apply my make up properly I have always used used my hands  and fingers which is probably why I have never got the real effect of the make up I was using, Until a few months ago when I decided after hearing everyone go on about the Real techniques brushes I purchased the Core collections set of brushes which I have to say is amazing and now I can not stop using them which leads me on to having to clean them. After Reading Zoella's blog a few months back on her brush cleaning post I thought id try washing them with Dove hand wash like Zoe did. So here's my step by step guide of how I cleaned my brushes, After all we all have to clean our brushes once in a while.

  • Step 1- Lay out all your brushes
  • Step 2- Slightly dampen your brushes with warm water ( trying not to soak them completely)
  • Step 3- Now its time to pour, pump whatever your chosen cleaning product is onto your brushes
  • Step 4- Start to glide your brush around the palm of your hand, slightly adding a small amount of water lathering the soap/ cleaning product up allowing the brush to fully saturate the cleaning product.
  • Step 5- Once you are happy with the amount of lather on the brush its time to squeeze out the dirt washing with water at time making sure that all the Foundation drips away
  • Step 6- You may need to repeat the process a few time to get rid of all the dirt completely
  • Step 7- Last but not least once all the dirt is washed away I gently glided the brushes around my palm again to make them fluffy.
  • Step 8- Finally its time to lay your brushes out on a tale to dry. Once they are fully dried its time to dirty them all over again.
