Starting To bake More!

So as many of my friends and family know I don't bake or cook that much because I simply feel I cant cook. However  over the last couple of months I have been tackling things in a different way and instead of it being I can't do this or anything its been more like I can do this a more positive aspect to life I guess most people would say. Therefore  my mum got this recipe for baking banana cake for diabetics as both me and most of my family are diabetic as it just runs through our family I guess. So on Tuesday just gone I decided id do some baking and just give it a go if all fails we can just try again another time. Once I had  prepared  all the ingredients and equipment I started to bake and found out it was quiet easy and fun to do, the banana cake on the other hand turned out pretty amazing if I do say so myself . Nothing went wrong and all tasted good so thumbs up for my first day of baking by myself.  Therefore If you would like to give it ago I encourage you to do so even if its just to experiment.

Ingredients
4oz butter or margarine
6oz sugar or for diabetics canderel green
3 eggs
2 big bananas
8oz self-raising flour
1tsp of baking powder

step 1
Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 4/180°C/350°F

step 2
Mash the bananas with a sturdy fork ( I just chose to slice them rather then mash them)

step 3
add the  butter and sugar together and mix in the eggs flour baking powder and bananas.

Step 4
empty content  into a loaf tin and bake for about 40-60 minutes.
